This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.225

रथसहस्राणि च बोधिमण्डे ध्वजपताका च सनन्दिघोषा ।
जालाविचित्रा शुभवादिता हि ध्वजाग्रमूर्धे च सनन्दिघोषा ॥ २२५ ॥

rathasahasrāṇi ca bodhimaṇḍe dhvajapatākā ca sanandighoṣā |
jālāvicitrā śubhavāditā hi dhvajāgramūrdhe ca sanandighoṣā || 225 ||

There were thousands of chariots near the bodhi tree, with banners and flags and joy-drums, glittering with their network, and making clear music. For there were joy-drums at the top of the standards, too. (225)
