This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.8

आग्नेयमणीनां या आभा गगने विद्युतान वा ।
नक्षत्राणां चापि या आभा जिह्मवर्णा भवन्ति ता ॥ ८ ॥

āgneyamaṇīnāṃ yā ābhā gagane vidyutāna vā |
nakṣatrāṇāṃ cāpi yā ābhā jihmavarṇā bhavanti tā || 8 ||

The gleam of fiery gems, of flashes of lightning in the sky and of the stars became broken. (8)
