This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 52.93

प्रमदागणसंपरिवृता रुदन्ति अनुगच्छन्ति कनकवर्णं ।
परिदेवते च करणं अटविवनमुखे प्रपद्यन्तं ॥ ९३ ॥

pramadāgaṇasaṃparivṛtā rudanti anugacchanti kanakavarṇaṃ |
paridevate ca karaṇaṃ aṭavivanamukhe prapadyantaṃ || 93 ||

A crowd of women with her wept, and followed after him whose beauty was golden. And she piteously bewailed him who was going to roam the forest. (93)
