This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 52.24

अहं कपिलवस्तुस्मिं शाक्यानां नगरोत्तमे ।
अट्टालकोट्टरचिते दृढप्राकारतोरणे ॥ २४ ॥

ahaṃ kapilavastusmiṃ śākyānāṃ nagarottame |
aṭṭālakoṭṭaracite dṛḍhaprākāratoraṇe || 24 ||

I dwelt in Kapilavastu, the chief city of the Sakyans, with its cluster of high buildings and castles, and many a strong gateway. (24)
