This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 50.6

यान् त्वं सालेहि फुल्लेहि श्यामां कौशेयवासिनीं ।
गाढं अंकेन पीडेसि सा ते कौशल्यं पृच्छति ॥ ६ ॥

yān tvaṃ sālehi phullehi śyāmāṃ kauśeyavāsinīṃ |
gāḍhaṃ aṃkena pīḍesi sā te kauśalyaṃ pṛcchati || 6 ||

Silken-clothed Shyama, whom you did clasp too tightly in your arms among the blossoming sal-trees, sends you greeting. (6)
