This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 49.50

नाग नाग अवलोकयाहि मे ।
सिंह सिंह अवलोकयाहि मे ।
सत्वसार अवलोकयाहि मे ।
सार्थवाह अवलोकयाहि मे ॥ ५० ॥

nāga nāga avalokayāhi me |
siṃha siṃha avalokayāhi me |
satvasāra avalokayāhi me |
sārthavāha avalokayāhi me || 50 ||

O Naga, O Naga, look at me. O lion, O lion, look at me. O most elect of beings, look at me; O leader of the caravan, look at me. (50)
