This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 49.26

इहैव वसतो मह्यं प्रासादवरलोकके ।
सर्वनीवारणापगतं चित्तं मे वर्ततां वशात् ॥ २६ ॥

ihaiva vasato mahyaṃ prāsādavaralokake |
sarvanīvāraṇāpagataṃ cittaṃ me vartatāṃ vaśāt || 26 ||

“Even while I dwell in this fair worldly palace, let my heart, freed of all hindrances, be in my own power.” (26)
