This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 49.11

हन्त त्रिषु महाराज पदेषु प्रतिभूर् भव ।
ततो मया विनाभावो न ते जातु भविष्यति ॥ ११ ॥

hanta triṣu mahārāja padeṣu pratibhūr bhava |
tato mayā vinābhāvo na te jātu bhaviṣyati || 11 ||

“Come then, let your majesty assure me on three points. Then there will be for you no separation at all from me.” (11)
