This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 37.56

का दृष्टासि + + + पिनद्धमञ्जरी सीहांगदा कांचिप्रमृष्टधारणी ।
कुशाग्ररक्ता सुपिनद्धकुण्डला उशीरवर्णा प्रतिभाय शोभसि ॥ ५६ ॥

kā dṛṣṭāsi + + + pinaddhamañjarī sīhāṃgadā kāṃcipramṛṣṭadhāraṇī |
kuśāgraraktā supinaddhakuṇḍalā uśīravarṇā pratibhāya śobhasi || 56 ||

“Who art thou that art seen [ ] draped in clusters of blossoms, with lion-bracelets, burnished girdle, flaming hair,and well-fitting ear-rings. With thy complexion like the ushira thou art radiant to behold. (56)
