This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 35.50

स्वागतम् अनुरागतं ते सुप्तो तावत् प्रियदर्शि कुमारो ।
द्रक्ष्यसि त्वं प्रतिविबुद्धं विग्रहं इव जातरूपस्य ॥ ५० ॥

svāgatam anurāgataṃ te supto tāvat priyadarśi kumāro |
drakṣyasi tvaṃ prativibuddhaṃ vigrahaṃ iva jātarūpasya || 50 ||

“You are heartily welcome” said the king, “But just now the comely child is asleep. When he wakes up you shall see him like a body of pure gold.” (50)
