This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 34.48

अनुरूपा त्वं प्रमदा प्रवरा माता स चैव पुरुषप्रवरो ।
पुत्रो प्रहीनवनथो विरजो किं हायते तव नरेन्द्रवधू ॥ ४८ ॥

anurūpā tvaṃ pramadā pravarā mātā sa caiva puruṣapravaro |
putro prahīnavanatho virajo kiṃ hāyate tava narendravadhū || 48 ||

“You are a worthy woman, supreme among women. And your son will be the Pre-eminent of Men, who has abandoned lust and is rid of passion. What more can you want, O queen?” (48)
