This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 34.13

ते विपुलरुचिरवर्णं मन्दारवपुष्पवर्षम् आकाशे ।
प्रमुंचिन्सु उदग्रचित्ता स्तवंता मधुराहि वाचाहि ॥ १३ ॥

te vipularuciravarṇaṃ mandāravapuṣpavarṣam ākāśe |
pramuṃcinsu udagracittā stavaṃtā madhurāhi vācāhi || 13 ||

Exultantly they poured down from the sky a shower of the bright flowers of the coral-tree, and praised him in sweet words: (13)
