This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 30.48

एवं उपेतं वरलक्षणेहि महाद्युतिगणम् अनुशासते ।
वरं ज्ञातीरतनं प्रहाय रतिं च स्फीतां अभिनिष्क्रमे ॥ ४८ ॥

evaṃ upetaṃ varalakṣaṇehi mahādyutigaṇam anuśāsate |
varaṃ jñātīratanaṃ prahāya ratiṃ ca sphītāṃ abhiniṣkrame || 48 ||

A nature endowed with excellent qualities, which rules the great host of light. Renouncing the fair treasure of kith and kin it goes forth to larger joy. (48)
