This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 30.31

तं पाण्डरं च सुकृतं सुतोरणं खड्ग-असिगुप्तं ।
प्रविशेन्सुः अन्तःपुरं राज्ञो धीतुः मनापाये ॥ ३१ ॥

taṃ pāṇḍaraṃ ca sukṛtaṃ sutoraṇaṃ khaḍga-asiguptaṃ |
praviśensuḥ antaḥpuraṃ rājño dhītuḥ manāpāye || 31 ||

Entered the chamber of the king’s charming daughter, a white chamber, well-wrought, with fine portals, and guarded by sword and spear. (31)
