This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 27.73

यशं च इह लोकस्मिं संपराये च स्वर्गति ।
अधर्मं परिवर्जेत्वा धर्मम् आचरते सदा ॥ ७३ ॥

yaśaṃ ca iha lokasmiṃ saṃparāye ca svargati |
adharmaṃ parivarjetvā dharmam ācarate sadā || 73 ||

“Glory will be his in this world and the heavenly way in the world beyond, if he has shunned unrighteousness and pursued righteousness. (73)
