This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 27.30

धर्मस्थितानां तेजेन सर्वा शाम्यन्ति ईतयो ।
समयेन वर्षन्ति देवा शस्यं निवर्तते तहिं ॥ ३० ॥

dharmasthitānāṃ tejena sarvā śāmyanti ītayo |
samayena varṣanti devā śasyaṃ nivartate tahiṃ || 30 ||

“By the power of those who live righteously, all ills are assuaged. The devas send rain in season, and then the corn-crops grow. (30)
