This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 26.10

चतुरो पि लोकपाला प्रमुदितमनसा विगतमदनमाना ।
नटकरजविधमनकरा धारेन्सु धरणिधरसमस्य ॥ १० ॥

caturo pi lokapālā pramuditamanasā vigatamadanamānā |
naṭakarajavidhamanakarā dhārensu dharaṇidharasamasya || 10 ||

While the Four Guardians of the world, with joyful hearts and free of pride and conceit, laid the dust raised by the dancers, and held up five hundred sunshades for one who is the equal of him who bears the earth. (10)
