This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 23.52

तत्र बहु प्राणनयुता प्रविशेन्सुस् तद शरीरदेहं मे ।
वाणिजकशतानि पंच प्रविशेन्सु तथैव यानेन ॥ ५२ ॥

tatra bahu prāṇanayutā praviśensus tada śarīradehaṃ me |
vāṇijakaśatāni paṃca praviśensu tathaiva yānena || 52 ||

“Many nayutas of creatures had found their way into my maw, when there came along five-hundred merchants, in their ships. (52)
