This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 23.37

अथ सागराम्बरमही संकम्पे च दिवि देवसंघेषु ।
व्याकरणस्मिं व्याकृते अभ्युद्गमि अद्भुतो घोषो ॥ ३७ ॥

atha sāgarāmbaramahī saṃkampe ca divi devasaṃgheṣu |
vyākaraṇasmiṃ vyākṛte abhyudgami adbhuto ghoṣo || 37 ||

Then the earth with ocean and sky quaked, and among the devas in heaven a wondrous shout went up when this prediction was proclaimed. (37)
