This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 21.1

पद्मिनिवनं सुचपलं अपगततृणखण्डपत्रसंस्कारं ।
वरसुरभिकुसुमनिकरं करोथ गन्धोदकसुगन्धं ॥ १ ॥

padminivanaṃ sucapalaṃ apagatatṛṇakhaṇḍapatrasaṃskāraṃ |
varasurabhikusumanikaraṃ karotha gandhodakasugandhaṃ || 1 ||

“Quickly make ready the Lotus Grove by clearing it of grass and litter and leaves. Make it a mass of fair and fragrant flowers, and make it sweetly smelling with scented water. (1)
