This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 20.40

सा दानि दक्षिणेन पार्श्वेन परिन्यासे शरीरवरं ।
कुसुमलता व द्रुमवरं शयनं परिवेल्लियाशायिता ॥ ४० ॥

sā dāni dakṣiṇena pārśvena parinyāse śarīravaraṃ |
kusumalatā va drumavaraṃ śayanaṃ parivelliyāśāyitā || 40 ||

Then espying the queen on her bed, beautiful as a celestial maiden, throngs of dev as came down from their homes in Tushita and alighted on the terrace. (40)
