This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 20.15

ते विमलरुचिरवर्णं मन्दारवपुष्पवर्षम् आकाशे ।
प्रवर्षिन्सु उदग्रचित्ताः शुचिं सुमधुराहि वाचाहि ॥ १५ ॥

te vimalaruciravarṇaṃ mandāravapuṣpavarṣam ākāśe |
pravarṣinsu udagracittāḥ śuciṃ sumadhurāhi vācāhi || 15 ||

Exultantly they rained down from the sky a shower of spotless, bright and pure flowers of the coral-tree, speaking sweet words the while: (15)
