This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.120

अनुग्राह्यो ऽसि भूमिपते इदं वचनम् उवाच ते ।
यद् वयं वचनं ब्रूम तथा तम् अनुतिष्ठत ॥ १२० ॥

anugrāhyo 'si bhūmipate idaṃ vacanam uvāca te |
yad vayaṃ vacanaṃ brūma tathā tam anutiṣṭhata || 120 ||

They replied, “Favour is shown you, O king. Therefore heed the words we truthfully speak. (120)
