This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.91

अगत्वा च तुवं श्रेष्ठि न ध्रुवं प्रतिपत्स्यसे ।
इदन् ते मरणं सद्यं तं श्रद्धानो समाचर ॥ ९१ ॥

agatvā ca tuvaṃ śreṣṭhi na dhruvaṃ pratipatsyase |
idan te maraṇaṃ sadyaṃ taṃ śraddhāno samācara || 91 ||

“If you go not to the Buddha, you will not be worthy of the name of Dhruva, for your death will be near. Believe our counsel and act accordingly.” (91)
