This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.60

ततो च कुसुमा देवी निरयं त्रस्य दारुणं ।
अश्रुवेगं प्रमुञ्चन्ती इदं वचनम् अब्रवीत् ॥ ६० ॥

tato ca kusumā devī nirayaṃ trasya dāruṇaṃ |
aśruvegaṃ pramuñcantī idaṃ vacanam abravīt || 60 ||

And Queen Kusuma, terrified at this dire hell, shed floods of tears and spoke these words:— (60)
