This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.13

प्रासादवरं आरुह्य अन्तःपुरगतो तथा ।
अन्तःपुरस्य दर्शेति यत् तं प्रकृतिदर्शनं ॥ १३ ॥

prāsādavaraṃ āruhya antaḥpuragato tathā |
antaḥpurasya darśeti yat taṃ prakṛtidarśanaṃ || 13 ||

He went up to the palace and entered the inner court, where he showed himself as Abhaya’s father looked when living. (13)
