This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 18.108

ते तस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा मधुरं देवमानुषा ।
अनुशास्तिं तथा कृत्वा प्रतिपद्यन्ति तत्सुखं ॥ १०८ ॥

te tasya vacanaṃ śrutvā madhuraṃ devamānuṣā |
anuśāstiṃ tathā kṛtvā pratipadyanti tatsukhaṃ || 108 ||

Devas and men hearing his sweet words and paying due heed to them, attain to that well-being. (108)
