This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 18.2

नानाधातुकं लोकं विदन्ति ख्यातं बलं तृतीयं ।
अधिमुक्तिनानात्वं वेत्ति चतुर्थं बलं भवति ॥ २ ॥

nānādhātukaṃ lokaṃ vidanti khyātaṃ balaṃ tṛtīyaṃ |
adhimuktinānātvaṃ vetti caturthaṃ balaṃ bhavati || 2 ||

He knows the various elements which make up the world. This is declared to be the third power. He knows the divers characters of beings. This is the fourth power. (2)
