This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 17.61

संविद्यन्ते इमानि वरासनानि वररूपविकृतानि ।
आस्तां ताव भवन्तो अस्माकम् अनुग्रहार्थाय ॥ ६१ ॥

saṃvidyante imāni varāsanāni vararūpavikṛtāni |
āstāṃ tāva bhavanto asmākam anugrahārthāya || 61 ||

“Here are fine seats beautifully fashioned. Sit down at once, sirs, to give pleasure to us.” (61)
