This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 17.36

लुम्बिनिवनं च शीघ्रं व्यपगततृणरेणुपत्रसंकारं ।
सुशोधितं मनोज्ञं कुरुत देवीये देवभुवनं वा ॥ ३६ ॥

lumbinivanaṃ ca śīghraṃ vyapagatatṛṇareṇupatrasaṃkāraṃ |
suśodhitaṃ manojñaṃ kuruta devīye devabhuvanaṃ vā || 36 ||

“Quickly make the Lumbini grove like a celestial abode for the queen, clean and pleasant, with the grass, mire, leaves and litter swept away. (36)
