This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 17.29

उद्यानगमनबुद्धी उत्पन्ना मे नराधिपा शीघ्रं ।
सज्जेहि वाहनं मे यथोचितां चैवम् आरक्षां ॥ २९ ॥

udyānagamanabuddhī utpannā me narādhipā śīghraṃ |
sajjehi vāhanaṃ me yathocitāṃ caivam ārakṣāṃ || 29 ||

“I have had a notion to go out into the park, O King, quickly get ready for me a fitting carriage and an escort.” (29)
