This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 14.9

अहं मन्त्रे अहं सन्ध्या अहं वचनकर्तृमे ।
अघात्यम् अपि घातये हेतुभिः कारणैः तथा ॥ ९ ॥

ahaṃ mantre ahaṃ sandhyā ahaṃ vacanakartṛme |
aghātyam api ghātaye hetubhiḥ kāraṇaiḥ tathā || 9 ||

“However invulnerable he may be, I’ll slay him by some means or other, by incantation, speu, or ruse of words. (9)
