This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 13.34

महाहासं हसन्तानां पूर्वा कोटी न प्रज्ञायते ।
दिशां विलोकयन्तानां पूर्वा कोटी न प्रज्ञायते ॥ ३४ ॥

mahāhāsaṃ hasantānāṃ pūrvā koṭī na prajñāyate |
diśāṃ vilokayantānāṃ pūrvā koṭī na prajñāyate || 34 ||

Nor the number of those who laugh aloud, nor of those who survey the regions of the world. (34)
