This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 12.39

कृतकरपुटो प्रसन्नः नरप्रभो पुष्पदन्तम् इदम् आह ।
अधिवासयतु मे दशबलो सप्ताहं भोजनविधानं ॥ ३९ ॥

kṛtakarapuṭo prasannaḥ naraprabho puṣpadantam idam āha |
adhivāsayatu me daśabalo saptāhaṃ bhojanavidhānaṃ || 39 ||

Raising his joined hands, the king serenely addressed Pushpadanta, saying, “May the Dashabala deign to be gracious and live on my store of food for seven days.” (39)
