This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 11.40

हयनवरेहि परिवही मातापितरं गुरुं तथाचार्यं ।
तेन कुशलेन राजा अश्वरतनं अद्भुतं लभति ॥ ४० ॥

hayanavarehi parivahī mātāpitaraṃ guruṃ tathācāryaṃ |
tena kuśalena rājā aśvaratanaṃ adbhutaṃ labhati || 40 ||

In his covered waggon he has carried a mother, a father, and a venerable teacher, and for this good deed the king wins the wondrous treasure of the horse. (40)
