This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 11.26

अतः प्रभृति विनयन्ति अर्हत्वे सुबहुं जनं ।
अतः प्रभृति विनयन्ति शैक्षभूमौ बहुं जनं ॥ २६ ॥

ataḥ prabhṛti vinayanti arhatve subahuṃ janaṃ |
ataḥ prabhṛti vinayanti śaikṣabhūmau bahuṃ janaṃ || 26 ||

Henceforth they train many to be arhans, and many to qualify for discipleship. (26)
