This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 9.26

इत्य् एषा द्वितीया भूमि बोधिसत्वानम् उच्यते ।
नानाकुशलकोशानां लोकार्थसुखचारिणां ॥ २६ ॥

ity eṣā dvitīyā bhūmi bodhisatvānam ucyate |
nānākuśalakośānāṃ lokārthasukhacāriṇāṃ || 26 ||

Such is the description of the second bhumi of the Bodhisattvas, who, with store of varied merits, live happy for the world’s sake, (26)
