This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 7.62

विचिन्तचूतं वशिभूतं काश्यप इदम् अब्रवीत् ।
गंगोदकमया मेघा निर्मिणे गगने लघुं ॥ ६२ ॥

vicintacūtaṃ vaśibhūtaṃ kāśyapa idam abravīt |
gaṃgodakamayā meghā nirmiṇe gagane laghuṃ || 62 ||

To the holy Vicintacuta Kashyapa said, “Create at once in the sky clouds that shall be as rich in water as the Ganges. (62)
