This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 7.21

तौ क्रमौ शिरसि सन्निपातिय पाणिभिः समनुगृह्य चा मुने ।
आलपे श्रुतिधरं महर्षिणं अन्तिकावचरः काश्यपस् तदा ॥ २१ ॥

tau kramau śirasi sannipātiya pāṇibhiḥ samanugṛhya cā mune |
ālape śrutidharaṃ maharṣiṇaṃ antikāvacaraḥ kāśyapas tadā || 21 ||

Taking in his hands the feet of the sage, and bringing them together over his head, Kashyapa turned to the great and learned sage [Aniruddha] and spoke to him:— (21)
