This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

मूर्धिना निपतितो महर्षिणो पश्चिमं इदं नमस्यते मुने ॥ १९ ॥

mūrdhinā nipatito maharṣiṇo paścimaṃ idaṃ namasyate mune || 19 ||

The glorious Kashyapa, reverently raising his joined hands threw himself on his face at the Conqueror’s feet, and for the last time adored the great seer and sage. (19)
