This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 6.6

पूजयि पंच शतानि पद्मोत्तरनामकानां सुगतानां ।
कौण्डिण्यनामकानाम् अपराणि द्वि सहस्राणि ॥ ६ ॥

pūjayi paṃca śatāni padmottaranāmakānāṃ sugatānāṃ |
kauṇḍiṇyanāmakānām aparāṇi dvi sahasrāṇi || 6 ||

He adored five hundred Sugatas named Padmottara and two thousand others named Kaundinya. (6)
