gamiṣyāmaḥ bhagavantaṃ darśanāya // tena dāni kapilavastusmiṃ ghoṣaṇā kārāpitā // na kenacit prathamaṃ bhagavato upasaṃkramitavyaṃ / sarvehi mayā sārdhaṃ nyagrodhārāmaṃ gantavyaṃ bhagavantaṃ darśanāya //
___atha khalu rājā śuddhodano sārdhaṃ sarvakenāntaḥpureṇa yaśodharāpramukhena sārdhaṃ kumārāmātyehi ca sārdhaṃ śākyehi saparivārehi sārdhaṃ dhanugraharathāśvārohehi sārdhaṃ vaṇijasārthavāhehi sārdhaṃ śreṣṭhipramukhehi nigamehi mahatā rājānubhāvena mahatā rājarddhīye kapilavastuto nagarāto niryāsi bhagavantaṃ darśanāya // rājā śuddhodano kapilavastuto caturghoṭena aśvarathena nirdhāvati śākiyamaṇḍalaparivṛto nyagrodhārāmaṃ bhagavantaṃ darśanāya / bhikṣusaṃgho ca kapilavastunagaraṃ piṇḍāya praviśati / rājñā śuddhodanena bhikṣusaṃgho dṛṣṭo // so dāni amātyānāṃ pṛcchati // bho bhaṇe amātyā kiṃ imān edṛśā parivrājakā // amātyā āhansuḥ // deva kumārasya eṣo parivāro // so dāni tāṃ kṛśaśarīrāṃ bhikṣū ṛṣipravrajitāṃ uruvilvākāśyapanadīkāśyapagayākāśyapaśāriputramaudgalyāyanā ca saparivārā tapatapitaśarīrāṃ muṇḍā pātrapāṇīṃ dṛṣṭvā paridīnamukhavarṇo saṃvṛtto // mama putro yadi na pravrajiṣyati rājā bhaviṣyati cakravartī cāturdvīpo vijitāvī dhārmiko dharmarājā saptaratnasamanvāgato rājasahasraparivṛto medinīm adhyāvasiṣyat* // imam edṛśaṃ parivāraṃ nivartetha ahaṃ na taṃ icchāmi draṣṭuṃ // te dāni bhikṣū amātyehi vuccanti // rājā vo na draṣṭukāmo nivartetha // te dāni nivartitvā nyagrodhārāmaṃ gatāḥ // na mo bhagavan rājā śuddhodano icchati draṣṭuṃ / asmākaṃ ca dṛṣṭvā pratinivartito // bhagavān āha // imahiṃ eva sarvasya bhikṣusaṃghasya āhāraṃ bhaviṣyati // uruvilvākāśyapo bhagavantam
