tasya nagarasya uttare pārśve uccaśirīṣam adrākṣīt* // so haṃ taṃ śirīṣaṃ abhiruhitvā tan nagaram avalokemi // tatra ca me bahūni vāṇijakaśatāni uparuddhāni dṛṣṭāni śuṣkāni dhamanīsantatavātātapadagdhatvacamānsāni kṛṣṇāni malinakeśāni pānīyārthaṃ nakhalīhi bhūmiṃ khananti kṣutpipāsāsamarpitāni / aparāṇi kaṃkālaśatāni vikṣiptāni daśadiśo vikīrṇāni / tatra ca amukāto amukāto nagarāto amuko ca amuko ca vāṇijo te ca vānijā sarve va āgatā / teṣāṃ vāṇijakānām ācikṣito // ye tatra jīvanti rākṣasīhi khāditāvaśeṣā apare pi aḍḍhatiyamātrāṇi vāṇijakaśatāni ye etāhi rākṣasīhi khāditā // tato etā na mānuṣikā sarvāḥ etā rākṣasīyo // yadi vayaṃ yatnaṃ na karomi svadeśagamanāya evam eva sarve anayāto vyasanam āpadyiṣyāma etena rākṣasīgaṇena // yadi icchatha rākṣasīnāṃ hastāto mokṣaṃ kṣemeṇa ca jambudvīpaṃ gamanāya keśī aśvarājā uttarakurudvīpāto akṛṣṭoptaṃ śāliṃ bhuṃjitvā akaṇaṃ atuṣaṃ surabhitaṇḍulaphalaṃ kārtikapūrṇamāsyāṃ iha rākṣasīdvīpam āgacchati imasya rākṣasīdvīpasya uttarapārśveṇa samudratīre sthihitvā ko pāragāmīti ghoṣeti / tatas tatra hayarājasya samīpaṃ gacchāmaḥ / so smākaṃ kṣemeṇa svadeśaṃ prāpayiṣyati //
___te dāni pṃca vāṇijakaśatā sārthavāhena sārdhaṃ rākṣasīnagarasya uttarapārśve gatā / tehi keśī aśvarājā samudratīre tiṣṭhanto dṛṣṭo grīvam unnāmetvā ko pāragāmīti ghoṣanto // te dāni sarve paṃca vāṇijakaśatā kṛtāṃjalipuṭā taṃ keśim aśvarājam upasaṃkrāntā // mahākāruṇika tava śaraṇāgatā sma vayaṃ pāragāmī gato asmākaṃ tārehi //
