vyasanaṃ balasya mathanaṃ sarvendriyāṇāṃ vadhaḥ śokānāṃ prabhavo rativyupasamo cittāśrayāṇāṃ nidhi dharmasyopaśamaḥ gātrāśritānāṃ gṛhaṃ yo lokaṃ pibate vapuś ca grasati vyādhisya ko nodvijet* // kumāro āha // sārathi nivartehi rathaṃ alaṃ me udyānagamanāye // kumāro punaḥ nivartitvā gṛhaṃ praviṣṭaḥ // rājā śuddhodano amātyāṃ pṛcchati // bho bhaṇe kiṃ kumāro nivṛtto udyānabhūmiṃ na nirgato // amātyā āhansuḥ // mahārāja kumāro vyādhitaṃ puruṣaṃ dṛṣṭvā nivṛtto na bhūyo udyānabhūmiṃ nirgato // rājño bhavati // hevaṃ yathā asitena ṛṣiṇā kumāro vyākṛto tathā bhaviṣyati // rājñā kumārasya antaḥpuraṃ saṃdiṣṭaṃ // suṣṭu kumāraṃ krīḍāpetha rāmāpetha nāṭyehi gītehi vāditehi yathā kumāro gṛhe abhirameyā // evaṃ kumārasya yathā devaloke evaṃrūpā antaḥpure saṃgīti vartanti / na ca kumārasya saṃgītiṣu manaṃ gacchati tam eva jīrṇaṃ ca vyādhitaṃ ca puruṣaṃ samanusmarati //
