kṛtvā saparivārasya agrato sthitā // ṛṣisya bhavati // mahātmanā imena kumāreṇa bhavitavyaṃ kṛtapuṇyena puṇyavantena yo eṣo imaṃ āśramaṃ praviṣṭaḥ / pradeśo na kṣemeṇānuprāpto // tena kumāro abhinandito // svāgataṃ kumārasya niṣīdāhi / etāni śivikāni // kumāro niṣaṇṇo saparivāro / ṛṣiṇā kṣudramadhusadṛśāni phalāni allīpitāni pānīyaṃ ca // yatra velāṃ kumāreṇa phalā paribhuktāni pānīyaṃ ca pītaṃ tato naṃ so ṛṣi pṛcchati // kiṃ kumārasya sukhasaṃvṛddhasya imahiṃ āgamanaprayojanaṃ // kumāro āha // kācit te bhagavaṃ evaṃrūpā nārī atikramantī dṛṣṭeti // ṛṣi āha // āma dṛṣṭā allīnā imaṃ āśramaṃ mama pādau vanditvā girivarasya anutaṭehi gatā / tat kumāro ito evaṃ āśramāto nivartatu / duṣkaraṃ kumāreṇa kṛtaṃ imaṃ tāvat pradeśaṃ gacchantena kiṃ puna ato paratareṇa gatena agamanaṃ manuṣyāṇāṃ ito evaṃ nivartāhi // kumāro āha // na śakyāmi bhagavan nivartituṃ / tasyā manoharāye gati mama yenaiva mārgeṇa gatā tenaivāhaṃ gamiṣyāmi // ṛṣi āha // anyā kinnarīṇāṃ gatiḥ anyā manuṣyāṇāṃ / pakṣī pi kinnarāṇāṃ gatiṃ na saṃbhuṇanti kṛto manuṣyā / pakṣī pi taṃ pradeśaṃ kathaṃ cid gacchanti / kinnarā yatra gacchanti modamānā rativihāraṃ samanubhonto agamyan taṃ kumāra manuṣyāṇāṃ pathehi / ito evam āśramāto nivartāhi // pitā te ṣaṣṭīṇāṃ nagarahasrāṇāṃ īśvaro nanu udārehi paribhogehi kumāreṇa krīḍitavyaṃ ramitavyaṃ anubhavitavyaṃ etaṃ agamyaṃ deśaṃ na śakyasi gantuṃ // kumāro āha // bhagavaṃ maraṇaṃ paśyitavyā //
