Chapter 6 - Kālacakra lineage: Kālacakrapāda senior and junior

The holder of his Spiritul Lineage (was) one named dge bsnyen byang chub.[1] His son was a very great paṇḍita who studied under his father’s brother dgon pa ba.[2] He obtained (the system) together with Nā-ro-pa from Kālacakrapāda, the Senior, and became known as Kālacakrapāda, the Junior.

Moreover differences in the views impressed by the "father" and "son".

These "father" and”son" having once said while residing in Madhyadeśa that One who does not know the Kālacakra, would not know the Vajrayāna, caused displeasure among paṇḍitas, who having gathered in Madhyadeśa, prepared seats at Vikramaśīla and held a debate. Jo bo chen po[3] could not be defeated. Then all rose from their seats, and he placed his foot on their heads. Except Dā-bodhisattva,[4] all obtained instruction in the Kālacakra from him. He became also known as dus 'khor ba[5] and propagated widely the system.
