This book contains Sanskrit text which you should never take for granted as transcription mistakes are always possible. Always confer with the final source and/or manuscript.

Preface

The absense of real historical records this work altogether cease to be help in acquiring a historical sense. We can distinguish among the vast number of texts of Sanskrit literary works contribute to Kerala History.

Though the present work is aimed at the “Sanskrit sources of Kerala history”. It consists of six chapters with an introduction. The first chapter discuss the historical details from the inscriptions. In the second chapter deals with the historical points from the Mahatmyas, works written in puranic style and prasastis. The third chapter estimate the Historical contents from the mahakavyas. Forth chapter evaluates the historical evidences from the Sandesakavyas and Short poems. The work concludes with the sixth chapter which summarises the miscellaneous works bearing on Kerala history.
