This page relates ‘Regions of light’ of the study on Karmic Astrology and its presentation in Vedic and the later Sanskrit literature. Astrology (in Sanskrit: Jyotish-shastra) is based upon perceptive natural phenomenon of cosmic light forms while the Concept of Karman basically means “action according to Vedic injunction” such as the performance of meritorious sacrificial work.
Part 2.1.7 - Regions of light

The Puruṣasūkta addresses the three divisions of the cosmos, Dyaus, Antarikṣa and Pṛthvi.[1] These regions pertain to brightness and are addressed as the three Dyaus.[2] More localized is Heaven as a region of eternal light. (Ṛgveda-saṃhitā IX. 113. 7-9). It is expressed as the highest luminous world. (Atharvaveda IV. 34.2)
Path of light
Chāndogya Upaniṣad IV. 15.5 describes devayāna (way of the gods), the path of light which leads the souls of the dead.
