The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.31.41

स्पन्दनं कर्म संसारे जरामरणपञ्जरम् ।
एवं प्रवर्तितं चक्रमिदमादिविभूतिजम् ॥ ४१ ॥

spandanaṃ karma saṃsāre jarāmaraṇapañjaram |
evaṃ pravartitaṃ cakramidamādivibhūtijam || 41 ||

The motion of these curricles forms the course of this world (which is hence called karma Kshetra or world of activity); and the continued rotation of the body (called the cage of bird of life); until its old age and demise, which is the dispensation of the Almighty power.
