The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मनसा तप्यते नित्यं ग्रीष्मेणेव वनस्थली ॥ २४ ॥

manasā tapyate nityaṃ grīṣmeṇeva vanasthalī || 24 ||
A boy is as much irritated by the eagerness of his whimsical desires, as a patch of ground in the desert is parched by the summer heat.
